Performa Ayam Broiler yang Diberi Pakan Mengandung Tepung Inti Sawit-Pollard atau Tepung Inti Sawit-Dedak
Abstract
The objective of this experiment was to determine the effect of feeding complete diet containing palm kernel powder that added pollard or rice bran on broiler performances. Experiment used 180 day old chicks (DOC) of CP 707 and reared for 28 days. The experiment used completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 6 replications consisting of 10 broilers in each replication. The treatments were: P1= feed control (100% commercial feed) without palm kernel powder, P2= Feed A (feed containing palm kernel powder + pollard), P3= Feed B (feed containing palm kernel powder + rice bran). The diet and water were given ad libitum. The results indicated that feeding palm kernel powder in broiler diet that added with pollard or rice bran decreased (P<0.01) feed consumption, final body weight, body weight gain and increased feed conversion rate. There were not significant differences between P2 and P3 treatments in terms of its effect on broiler chickens performance. The quality of feed containing palm kernel powder-pollard or palm kernel powder-rice bran could not substitute the commercial feed.
