Desain Tata Ruang Bangunan Eco-house Menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pada Iklim Tropis
Abstract
Eco-house is the application of ecological design where its layout considering the thermal problems in a room, the use of energy and sustainable resources. The objectives of this research is to design the Eco-house’s layout which can be inhabited by farmers and focused on aspects of the thermal comfort in tropics. Eco-house was designed by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. The design process is started by the validation of CFD simulation of Laboratory of Environmental Engineering of Biosystem which is the accuracy of simulation result is tested and validated. The same design process of CFD simulation is applied to the process of designing Eco-house's layout. The designs of Eco-house's layout utilize natural ventilations sistem with the design of the wind and the combination of wind and thermal effects. Design of ventilation combination of results of simulation comfort are qualified with the equivalent temperature distribution of 24.65 oC, wind velocity of 0.5-0.8 m/s and relative humidity of 65%. The additional of roof vents and designing the building perpendicular to the direction of wind supports the thermal comforts requirement.
