      Abstract
      The rate of food needs is directly proportional to the population growth; must be balanced with the development of agricultural technology innovations that can make use of all existing land conditions. The technology can be used in these circumstances is the application of tidal irrigation. The study aimed to analyze the force that occurs on hydromechanical sluice. Based on the results of the calculation, the maximum value of the placement reaction of HA is 1633.33 N, of HB is 3266.67 N, the value of style vertical slats sluice is 900 N and 3500 N. On the condition when the sluice opened, the greater the angle, the greater openings HA force. This is due to the resultant force of downstream greater than upstream. For sluice with head difference of 0.08 m, aperture angles 45o and 60o have differences with another sluice condition occurs where the force is inversely proportional to discharge. This can happen because the horizontal force component switches to the vertical component. The weight of the door is a major component of the vertical force the door itself. Budget plans are used to construct sluice is Rp177.888.400, -.
