Efektivitas vaksin DNA anti-KHV pada benih ikan mas Cyprinus carpio melalui metode perendaman dan perlakuan hiperosmotik
Abstract
Common carp production has decreased since the mass deaths caused by disease of koi herpesvirus (KHV). Therefore, safe technique is needed and can be applied in bulk with cost efficient. The purpose of this research was verified influence of DNA vaccine anti-KHV with dose of 1,3 x 108 cfu / mL was performed through immersion in different duration after hyperosmotic treatment for 2 minutes treatment to produced the resistence common carp. There were six treatments with three replications, A: vaccination for 60 minutes immersion, B: 90 minutes, C: 120 minutes, positive control: fish were not vaccinated and infected with KHV, negative control: fish not vaccinated and were not infected with KHV, control bacteria: fishes that soaked with bacteria did not containing vaccine. The results showed that vaccination for 60 minutes giving highest relative survival (93.55%). Thus, vaccination by immersion and hyperosmotic treatment effectively improve the survival and relative percent survival of fish, and this method can be an alternative in the early control of KHV infection in common carp and koi.
