Persentase Organ Dalam Ayam Broiler dengan Pakan Mengandung Tepung Inti Sawit yang Ditambahkan Pollard atau Dedak
Abstract
The use of palm kernel in the diet should be limited, because it contains high crude fiber and crude fat and low protein. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of feeding diets containing palm kernel powder added pollard or rice bran on percentage of internal organs in broiler chickens. The treatments were as follow : P1: control, P2: feed A (feed containing palm kernel powder added pollard ), P3: feed B (feed containing palm kernel powder added rice bran). The results showed that percentage of weight of the liver and bile were not significantly affected by the treatment. However the treatments significantly (P<0.01) affected the percentage of weights and relative lengths digestive organs where the percentage of weights were higher, and relative lengths were longer for treatments compared with that of control, while P2 and P3 results are comparable, except pancreas and colon. It is concluded that feeding diets containing palm kernel powder added pollard or rice bran produces a comparable percentage of internal organs in broiler chicken, but not to the pancreas and colon where feed containing palm kernel powder added pollard higher than feed containing palm kernel powder added rice bran.
