Perencanaan Penyediaan Hijauan Pakan untuk Sapi Potong di Kabupaten Sumba Timur Menggunakan Citra Landsat

Abstract

Citra Landsat is one of the remote sensing technology product that provides information on land cover and provide facilities of performs analyses planning and provision forage in one area. The development of the region can use the direction of land use in determination of provision forage fodder. The purpose this research is to plan the provision of forage using land use maps as a reference direction to fulfill the needs of cattle feed and calculate the potential production capacities of land and livestock in East Sumba. This study uses Nell and Rollinson (1974) for the processing of data, secondary data, primary data and Landsat image map direction then planning provision is made under the direction of forage crops to be grown. District Pandawai beef cattle population programs cow calf operation (CCO) by 4 816.32 AU, village breeding center (VBC) as much as 71 AU and village farming center (VFC) as much as 166 AU. District Lewa CCO generated by 8 566.97 AU, VBC and VFC as many as 518 AU and 1 210 AU. District Nggaha Ori Angu generated as much CCO 6 028 AU, VBC as much as 780 AU and VFC as much as 1 820 AU.
