Analisis Potensi dan Pemanfaatan Hijauan Pakan pada Peternakan Domba Rakyat Desa Randobawa Ilir Kecamatan Mandirancan, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Randobawa ilir is one of the villages in Kuningan Regency where found sheep breeding farm. The aim of this experiment was analyzing potential and utilitazion of forage on sheep breeding farm in Randobawa Ilir village as a feed of ruminant forage. This experiment used descriptive analysis, composition botany analysis, analysis of carrying capacity, and diversity analysis. The results of composition of botany showed that the first rank of forage was Eragrostis sp. as many as 14.01%, the second was Digitaria sp. as many as 9.96%, and the third was Mikania micrantha H.B.K. as many as 9.90%. The result of analysis of carrying capacity showed that Randobawa Ilir village still allowed for addition of livestock as many as 129.39 AU. The result of diversity analysis showed that diversity on paddy field higher than farm. The highest importance value on paddy field was Cynodon dactylon L. Pers. as many as 31.53% and the highest importance value on farm was Oplismenus burmannii (Retz.) P. Beauv as many as 68.64%.
