Karakteristik dan Kinerja Wirausaha Wanita pada UKM Agroindustri Perikanan di Kabupaten Sukabumi

Abstract

Women entrepreneur has a big role in economic development, through their involvement in fisheries agroindustry. Aims of this research are : 1) to identify invidual and business characteristic of Women entrepreneur in fisheries agroindustry, 2) to analyse supporting and obstacle factors the role of Women entrepreneur in fisheries agroindustry; 3) to analyse business performance of fisheries agroindustry that is managed by Women entrepreneur in Sukabumi regency. This research using case study, located in Palabuhanratu dan Cisolok subdistrict, as a center of fishery agroindustry di Sukabumi regency. Data collecting conducted by using survey method using quetionaire toward 30 respondence. Data analyse covering descriptif and quantitative in the form of characteristic and business analyses. Individual characteristic of Women entrepreneur in fishery agroindustry are : they have multi role as household and entrepreneur in fishery agroindustry. Individual firm, and low education level, young age, low in business experience, using personal capital and bank loan, their husband as pioneer in their business. Supporting factors in fishery agroindustry are willingness to lighten family burden, to create work field and repair their destiny, and to be autonomous. Obstacles factors in fishery agroindustry are capital, technology in production, input supply, marketing access and weather. Performance of fisheries agroindustry that is managed by women entrepreneur indicate that fish ball, shredded fish and chips fish are the tree biggest level of profit in fisheries agroindustry.
