Profil dan Peran Wirakoperasi dalam Pengembangan Agribisnis
Abstract
This study aims to: (1) study the profiles of co-operative entrepreneurs related in agribusiness development; (2) identify the characteristics possessed by co-operative entrepreneurs; (2) formulate approaches that needed to develop co-operative entrepreneurs that move in the agribusiness sector. The study was conducted in West Java, Central Java and Yogyakarta. Determination of study location conducted by purposive. Time studies conducted over five months that May to October 2011. Characters of co-operative entrepreneur in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis, locus of control, social motives, altruis motive, and leadership. Characters of co-operative entrepreneurs are portrayed as characters with a very internal locus of control, a high need for achievement, high altruism attitudes, and behaviors of effective leadership with balance orientation toward task and people. Study result shows that respondents are categorized as co-operative entrepreneur are respondent number 8, 11 and 14. In an effort to develop co-operative entrepreneur that move in agribusiness, the human resource development system for activator in agribusiness should be implemented simultaneously agribusiness starting from planning, implementation to evaluation stage. Knowledge and understanding of business collaboration (co-operative business) became major emphasis in developing the agribusiness resources activator because development of agribusiness in Indonesia would be difficult if conducted individually, but must be grouped together and that will result in a synergy (positive sum game).
