      Evaluasi Kualitas Nutrien Hasil Biofermentasi Pelepah Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) dengan Phanerochaete chrysosporium pada Dosis Inokulan dan Lama Fermentasi yang Berbeda

      Abstract
      Oil palm frond (OPF) as an alternative animal feed has high fiber content with low nutrien contents. Biofermentation with Phanerochaete chrysosporium is one of the way to increase the nutrien quality of OPF. This research aimed to evaluate the interaction of length of fermentation and inoculants dose to the changes of nutriens quality, pH, and water activity (aw) during the bio-fermentation process on OPF. This research used factorial completely randomized design ( 3x3 ) with 3 replications. The first factor was inoculants dose: 105 CFU ml-1, 106 CFU ml-1, and 107 CFU ml-1. The second factor was length of fermentations: 10 days, 15 days, and 20 days. There was no interaction between inoculant dose and length of fermentation for pH, water activity, and nutrien contents (P<0.05). Dose of 106 CFU ml-1 per 15 g samples of OPF (as fed) and 15 days fermentation was optimum in increasing crude protein and BETN, and decreased crude fiber with 4.96 of pH value and 0.893 of water activity.
       
      Pelepah sawit sebagai bahan pakan alternatif memiliki kandungan serat tinggi dengan kadar nutrien rendah. Biofermentasi dengan Phanerochaete chrysosporium dapat meningkatkan kandungan nutrien pelepah sawit (PS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi interaksi lama fermentasi dan dosis inokulan terhadap perubahan kualitas nutrien pelepah sawit, pH dan aktivitas air (aw) selama proses biofermentasi PS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial (3x3) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis inokulan : 105 CFU ml-1 , 106 CFU ml-1 , dan 107 CFU ml-1 , faktor kedua adalah lama fermentasi : 10 hari, 15 hari, dan 20 hari. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara dosis inokulan dan lama fermentasi pada hasil biofermentasi PS untuk parameter pH, aw, dan seluruh kandungan nutrien (P<0.05). Dosis 106 CFU ml-1 per 15 gram sampel pelepah kelapa sawit (as fed) dan 15 hari fermentasi optimum meningkatkan kadar Protein kasar dan BETN, serta menurunkan serat kasar, dengan nilai pH 4.96 dan aw 0.893.
