      Performa Sapi Potong Sebagai Respon dari Suplemetasi Probiotik Padat dan Cair

      Abstract
      Probiotics are live microbial feed supplements form, providing beneficial effects for the host animal by improving the balance of microorganisms in the digestive tract. This study aims to examine the benefits of probiotic supplementation in the form of liquid and solid on performance of beef cattle. The treatment used is as follows: P0: Ration Control (forage + concentrate + rice bran), P1: Ration Control + 0.25% solids probiotic in the concentrate, P2: Ration Control + 0.1% liquid probiotic through drinking water. Experimental design used was Randomized Block Design with 18 cows that are divided into six groups based on body weight and 3 treatment ration. Parameters measured were consumption of nutrients, body weight gain, efficiency of feed utilization, and Income Over Feed Costs (IOFC). The collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance. The test results statistically showed that the treatment was not significant effect on the consumption of nutrients, body weight gain and efficiency of feed utilization.
       
      Probiotik adalah suplemen pakan berupa mikroba hidup, yang memberi pengaruh menguntungkan bagi ternak inang dengan cara meningkatkan keseimbangan mikroorganisme di dalam saluran pencernaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manfaat suplementasi probiotik dalam bentuk cair dan padat terhadap performa sapi potong. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu sebagai berikut: P0 : Ransum Kontrol (hijauan+konsentrat+dedak), P1: Ransum Kontrol + 0.25% Probiotik padat dalam konsentrat, P2: Ransum Kontrol + 0.1% Probiotik cair melalui air minum. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan jumlah sapi 18 ekor, yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok berdasarkan bobot badan dan 3 perlakuan ransum. Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi zat-zat makanan, pertambahan bobot badan, efesiensi penggunaan pakan, dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis ragam. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan bahwa perlakuan tidak nyata berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi zat-zat makanan, pertambahan bobot badan, dan efesiensi penggunaan pakan.
