Loranthus spp. is a plant parasite belonging to the Loranthaceae tribes that live attached to the citrus plants (Citrus spp.). This study aimed to examine antidiabetic activity and cytotoxicity of Loranthus spp. with the variation of solvent extraction of water and ethanol. Antidiabetic activity of the extracts was tested by the method of inhibition against α-glucosidase enzyme activity and using acarbose as a positive control. Cytotoxicity of Loranthus spp. extracts was conducted by BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test). Extraction of Loranthus spp. carried by maceration with water solvent, 30% ethanol, 70% and 96%. Inhibition of α-glucosidase enzyme extract water, ethanol 30%, 70%, and 96% had IC50 values, respectively for 3488, 180, 65.15, and 70.71 ppm. IC50 values for acarbose as a comparison is 0.04 ppm. The test results in 70% and 96% ethanol extract showed Loranthus spp. have an antidiabetic. Toxicity testing of water extract, ethanol 30%, 70%, and 96% gain in a row LC50 value of 699.92; 648.15; 864.60, and 978.85 ppm. Toxicity test results showed all the extracts are toxic because it had LC50 values were included in the class according to the degree of toxicity.
