Energy and Protein Intake on Adolescent Girl Students with Normal Nutritional Status and Overweight/obese
Abstract
The objective of this study was to analyze energy and protein intake on adolescent girl students with normal nutritional status and overweight/obese. The design of this study was cross-sectional. The subject were 78 adolescent girl students lived in Preparation Level (TPB) dormitory, Bogor Agricultural University. Samples were divided into two groups, based on nutritional status (normal and overweight/obese). Data was collected using questionnaire in May to July 2012. Spearman correlation test showed that no significant correlation between breakfast habits, lunch habits, consumption of animal and plant protein, vegetable and fruit consumption, consumption of fast food, soft drinks, snacks, sweet drinks, milk and dairy products, energy and protein sufficiency level as well as physical activity and nutritional status (p>0.05). But there was significant positive correlation between family income and dinner habits and a significant negative correlation between meal frequency and nutritional status (p<0.05). Linear regression showed that meal frequency and dinner habits were two factors had influenced on nutritional status.
