      Abstract
Seed production of patin P. hypophthalmus sized 2 inches has a fluctuative result every year with farmers found several problems there are unoptimal of input factor`s usage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the production performance and optimization the use of production factors of catfish nursery business sized 2 inches in Sukamandijaya`s Village. The method that used in this research is a survay. Analysis of data using of Cobb-Douglas production function with software Ms. Excel 2007 and SPSS 16.0. The result of performance`s production with period of 15-21 days maintenance has resulted in fish growth in total length 2,37±0,018 cm/fish and Spesific Growth Rate (SGR) 7,77%. Estimation of the use inputs that can be optimized is 14 fish/liter for seeds, 0,0076 kg/litre for floating pellets, and 0,0017 kg/litre for pellets crumble. The fish feed at satiation with feeding frequency was 3 times per day, and the water changed every 2 days as much as 50%. The result of business analysis in optimal conditions is R/C of 1,40, Payback Period 0,31 years, Break Even Point of Rp 5.740.748 and 41.005 fish. Value of Return to Scale 1,004 indicates that the business is still viable to be develop.

Pergantian air dilakukan 2 hari sekali sebanyak 50%. Analisis usaha pada kondisi optimal adalah R/C 1,40, Pay Back Period 0,31 tahun, Break Even Point sebesar Rp 5.740.748 dan 41.005 ekor. Nilai Return to Scale 1,004 menunjukkan bahwa usaha masih layak untuk dikembangkan.
