Pendapatan Keluarga, Pengetahuan, Sikap, Konsumsi serta Status Gizi Anak Keluarga Peternak Ikan Lele (Clarias gariepinus)
Abstract
An adequate nutrition must be consumed by school-age children to fulfill the basic need of nutrients for their progressive growth. Food consumption is influenced by maternal nutrition knowledge and family income. The purpose of this study was to analyze correlation between family income, maternal nutrition knowledge, attitude, and catfish consumption with children nutritional status of farmers family in Parung, Bogor. This research was conducted in June 2012 used cross sectional study. A total number of 31 catfish farmers are purposively selected with inclusive criteria:(1) has fishpond either owned or profit-sharing system, (2) has a primary school children, (3) willing to be interviewed. Primary data consists of family and children characteristics, nutritional knowledge, attitude, catfish consumption and dietary intake. Secondary data is characteristics of a research site. The study showed that there was no correlation between maternal nutritional knowledge, family income and children nutritional status with food consumption, there was no correlation between family income, and children nutritional status with catfish consumption, there was correlation between maternal nutrition knowledge with catfish consumption (p<0.05), and there was no correlation exist between maternal nutrition knowledge and family income with children nutritional status.
