      Abstract
Fish occupy various forms of aquatic ecosystems such as marine, brackish and freshwater. Around 43% from the total number of all fish species, occupying freshwater. Reservoir construction cause alteration of topography and hydrology of natural aquatic. Topographical altaration of relate to the diversity of species. Cirata Reservoir is the main reservoirs in Indonesia, formed from the damming of the Citarum River. The number of indigenous fish species in the Citarum river before damming more than 20 species. The study found 16 fish species, with nine indigenous species, are; Barbonymus balleroides, Rasbora argyrotaenia, Osteochilus vittatus, Mystacoleucus marginatus, Hampala macrolepidota, Hemibagrus nemurus, Mystus nigriceps, Oxyleotris marmorata, Parambasis siamensis, as well as seven non-indigenous species are; Cyprinus carpio, Oreochromis niloticus, Hemichromis elongatus, Amphilopus citrinellus, Chanos chanos, Colossoma macropomum, Hypostomus plecostomus. The indigenous fish species that not found in the previous study is Barbonymus gonionotus, Puntius binotatus, and Chana striata. The reduced number of individuals and species of indigenous fish species associated with be lost of food sources, cause altaration of habitat. Although, competition with the non-indigenous species benefit the same food. Highest number of individuals and species found in location 3, whereas the lowest number of individuals at location 4 and the number of species at location 5. O. niloticus has the highest relative abundance and distribution. Value of environmental factors still suitable for the fish life.
