Pendugaan Kadar Neutral Detergent Fiber dan Acid Detergent Fiber pada Pakan Berdasarkan Hasil Analisa Proksimat
Abstract
Feed is an important component in animal husbandry industry. Feed quality can be evaluated by physical characteristic, chemical composition and biological values. Proximate analysis is one of chemical analysis to counting chemical composition in the feed. Van Soest analysis is one of chemical analysis to evaluate fiber in the feed. This study was aimed to determine the relationship beetwen proximate analysis and Van Soest’s fiber component in feed and to predict Van Soest’s fiber component (NDF and ADF) from proximate analysis component such as Ash, Crude Protein (CP), Ether Extract (EE), Crude Fiber (CF) and Nitrogen Free Extract (NFE). This study used database of feed ingredients from Laboratory of Feed Science and Technology, Departement of Nutrition and Feed Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University. Data were analyzed by correlation analysis and regression (linier regression with single and multiple variables). Accuracy levels of the relationships between variables were expressed as coefficient determination (r2), P Values and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The result showed that Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) had a strong correlation with Ash, Extract (EE), Crude Fiber (CF) and Nitrogen Free Extract (NFE). Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) component had a strong correlation with Ash, Crude Fiber (CF) and Nitrogen Free Extract (NFE). NDF can be predicted using a model NDF = -3.925 + 1.64 Ash + 1.528 CF – 0.02 EE + 0.399 NFE (r2=0.814; P=0.002; RMSE = 14.20) and ADF can be predicted using a model ADF = 24.937 + 1.082 Ash + 0.645 CF – 0.077 NFE (r2=0.319; P<0,001; RMSE=12.67). It concluded that proximate analysis component can be used to predict Van Soest’s component in the fee
