Efficiency and Digestibility of Fiber in Ration which Contain Bean Sprouts Waste in Growing Phase of Local Male Rabbits
Efisiensi dan Kecernaan Serat Ransum Mengandung Limbah Tauge Pada Kelinci Lokal Jantan Masa Pertumbuhan
Abstract
The aims of this research to determine the feed efficiency (gram/rabbit/day) and digestibility of fiber in commercial feed with bean sprouts waste pelleted by giving the different amount of bean sprouts waste for each local male rabbits at growing phase. These rabbits were divided into four treatments and three replications. The result were analyzed using analysis of variance in completely randomized block design with Duncan advanced test. The treatments were P0 (100% commercial feed), P1, P2, and P3 (consisted of commercial feed respectively 85%, 70%, 55 % and waste of Tauge respectively 15%, 30%, 45%). The parameters in this research were consumption of dry matters, daily weight gained, feed efficiency, digestibility of crude fiber (CF), Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF). The results of the study showed that the effect of giving bean sprouts waste in complete feed for male local rabbit was not significantly (P>0.05) affecting consumption of dry matters, daily weight gained, crude fiber digestibility, NDF digestibility and ADF digestibiltity. Feed efficiency were affected significantly (P<0.05). It can be concluded that the provision of bean sprouts waste to 45% did not affect daily weight gained, digestibility of crude fiber, NDF digestibility and ADF digestibility. Addition of bean sprouts waste on a commercial feed increased palatability of feed, and tend to increase dry matter intake but daily body weight gain was not significantly different. Kelinci merupakan ternak sumber protein hewani yang dapat berpeluang sebagai produk unggulan di sektor peternakan. Kebutuhan kualitas nutrisi yang bagus pada pakan kelinci sudah tersedia pada pakan komersil namun ransum komersil untuk kelinci yang ada di pasaran cenderung mempunyai harga yang mahal sehingga diperlukan alternatif untuk mencari pakan yang tersedia secara kontinu, memiliki nilai gizi yg cukup, mudah dicerna, dan murah seperti limbah tauge. Limbah tauge merupakan sisa produksi tauge yang terdiri dari kulit kacang hijau dan pecahan-pecahan tauge. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa dan kecernaan komponen serat dalam ransum komplit campuran limbah tauge dengan level pemberian limbah tauge yang berbeda pada kelinci lokal jantan masa pertumbuhan. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan uji lanjut Duncan yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 1 ekor kelinci Lokal jantan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 (100% ransum komersil), P1, P2, dan P3 (masing-masing terdiri dari ransum komersil 85%, 70%, dan 55%, penambahan limbah tauge masing-masing 15%, 30% dan 45%). Peubah yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah konsumsi bahan kering, pertambahan bobot badan harian, efisiensi pakan, kecernaan serat kasar (SK), kecernaan Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), dan kecernaan Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF).
