Simulasi Sebaran Suhu pada Chamber Aeroponik dengan Menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Abstract
The most important part of aeroponic system is chamber for plant roots growing. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a powerful software to analyze micro-environment on the aeroponic chamber. The objectives of this research were to study the changes in nutrient solution temperature on aeroponic system as impact the changes air temperature and solar radiation of greenhouse, to study heat transfer on aeroponic chamber as impact the changes chamber temperature, and to simulate of distribution temperature on various dimension of aeroponic chamber by using CFD. Results show that air temperature in the chamber was influenced by temperature of nutrient solution that sprayed out from nozzle and temperature of greenhouse that absorbed by the chamber material. Air temperature in the chamber were 21.32 °C to 35.62 °C. Every side of chamber have a different heat transfer depend on direct of solar radiation that transmitted in greenhouse. Heat transfer equations were solved by using the first thermodynamic’s law. CFD simulation has been conducted for air temperature in aeroponic chamber. Simulated chamber temperature were 24.1 °C at 08:00 while 34.4 °C at 13:00. Validation of the model had been done by using error presentage and linear regression analysis. It had been shown that the simulated temperature of aeroponic chamber agreed well with that of the measured temperatures.
