Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Gangguan Makan pada Remaja Putri di Model Agency Tasikmalaya

Abstract

Objective of this research was to analyze factors associated to eating disorders in adolescent girls. Study design used in this research was cross sectional study. The number of samples was 61 adolescent girl aged 12-21 years in the Tasikmalaya model agency. The results showed adolescent girls with eating disorders are 46 girls (75,4%) and 15 girls (24,6%) classified as normal. The type of eating disorder are 38 girls (62,3%) eating disorder not otherwise specified, five girls (8,2%) binge eating disorder, two girls (3,3%) bulimia nervosa, and one girl (1,6%) anorexia nervosa. Dietary history (OR: 3,71; 95% CI: 1,03- 13,76) and internet access (OR: 4,44; 95% CI: 1,16-17,02) associated significantly (p<0,05) with eating disorder. However, eating disorder is not associated significantly with body perceptions, magazines/tabloids access, watching television, criticing by friend, boyfriend, and family, as well as family dietery habits.
