Analisis Kapasitas Simpan Air di Wilayah Kampus IPB Dramaga, Bogor
Abstract
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) stage III physical development is being implemented since 2011. Water balance analysis provided an actual description of water storage capacity and its impact on the environmental carrying capacity. The objectives of the study were (1) to analyze status of environmental carrying capacity based on agroclimate zone and to analyze water supply potential, (2) to analyze water storage capacity and (3) land use planning. The research was started since Febuary until June 2012. The research was conducted using climate data and land cover map that processed with Microsoft Excel, CROPWAT 8.0 and ARCGIS 9.3 software. The ratio of water availability and water demand was 0.9 hence the environmental carrying capacity based on water balance was overshoot. IPB Campus agroclimate zone was A1 based on Oldeman classification. The water footprint was 7,9 x 106 m3/year. The region was divided into 14 catchment area (CA). The biggest storage capacity was 235.78 mm/year on CA 11 and the smallest storage capacity was on CA 9a with only 109.51 mm/year. The objectives of land-use planning was to increase water storage capacity. IPB campus as green campus was recommended to improve groundwater recharge and to reach ratio of ground water recharge and surface run-off of 65:35. According to this result it was to recommended to increase vegetation area on CA 4, CA 7, CA 9a, CA 9b, CA 9c and CA 12.
