Abstract
Keracunan Aluminium mengakibatkan hasil padi gogo pada tanah masam menjadi rendah. Penanaman varietas padi gogo unggul toleran Al merupakan cara yang paling murah dan mudah dilaksanakan petani. Pemuliaan untuk mendapatkan varietas unggul toleran Al dan informasi ilmiah yang mendukung kegiatan pemuliaan merupakan masalah yang harus dipecahkan. Aluminum(Al) toxicity is onethe most important limiting factors for upland rice growth and production in acid soils. This study was aimedtoanalyze the diversity of phenotypes and to select an F7 rice Recombinant InbreedLines(RIL) population derived froma crossbetweenricevarietasIR64 and Hawara Bunar for Al resistance. The experiment used 300 rice lines fromthe F7 RILpopulationand 3 control varieties which were IR64 (Al-sensitive), Hawara Bunar (Al-tolerance), and Danau Gaung (Al-tolerance). The experiment was designed using Randomized Complete Block with single factor and 3 replication.The experiment carried out in 3 places; the laboratory, the greenhouse and the field. The results showed that based on Relative Root Legth (RRL) as a selection character, the 300 rice linescould be grouped into 130(43%)high Altolerant lines, 68(22.6%) moderate Al-tolerant and 102(34%)Al-sensitivelines. The green house experiment using 50 selected rice lines that were grown in Yellow Red Podzolic acid soil could select 32 lines that were Al-tolerant with good agronomic characteristics. The field experiment using 32 selected rice lines that were grown in Yellow Red Podzolic acid soil in Taman Bogo, Lampungcould select 4 lines (161, 322, 531, 699) that were tolerant to Al stress and acid soilwith good agronomic characteristics.
