      Abstract
      Tumours are cells that grow abnormally. The growth of tumour cells was explained by the Gompertz model. But, the Gompertz model can not explain the growth of proliferation and non proliferation of tumor cells. Interaction between proliferation and non proliferation cells was modeled by Gyllenberg-Webb (1991). The Gyllenberg and Webb model defined the transition rate of the proliferation cell converted into the non-proliferation cell i.e., the rate increase with N. Some research found that tumour cell growth in the Gyllenberg-Webb model are well-suited with the Gompertz model so that the analytic solutions could be obtained independent of the transition rate.       Tumor adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh sel-sel jaringan tubuh yang pertumbuhannya tidak normal. Populasi sel tumor dapat dianggap sebagai konstruksi dari dua sub-populasi terdiri dari sel proliferasi (P) dan sel non-proliferasi (Q). Sel P berkembang dengan cepat, tidak terkendali dan akan terus membelah diri meskipun tubuh tidak memerlukannya, sehingga akan terjadi penumpukan sel P yang baru. Sedangkan sel Q tidak melakukan pembelahan diri, namun sel Q dapat berubah menjadi sel P, begitupun sebaliknya.
