Inventarisasi Parasit pada Benih Ikan Gurame dalam Kolam Terpal di Kecamatan Pengasih Kabupaten Kulon Progo Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to record the parasites (ectoparasite and endoparasite) in giant gourami which cultured in plastic lined pond system. Thirty fingerlings for each size ranges of 3-4 cm, 5-6 cm, and 10-11 cm were collected from plastic lined ponds in three different villages, Desa Mergosari, Desa Kemiri, and Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Pengasih, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The examination showed that there were 5 genera of ectoparasites found in gouramy fingerlings, namely Trichodina, Chilodonella, Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus, and Ichthyophthirius. The highest prevalent and parasite intensity were found in Trichodina in 5 – 6 cm sized fish which were 100% and 28 ind/fish, respectively. There was no endoparasite found in giant gouramy fingerlings during the examination period.
