Barium titanate (BaTiO3) perovskite is one of the ceramic oxide that widely used in electronic device industry like multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) due to its excellent ferroelectric and piezoelectric (tetragonal phase properties). These electrical properties depend on the synthesis method. Based on this fact, the modification of synthesis method was investigated. BaTiO3 powders were synthesized by modification LTDS and hydrothermal reaction using barium hydroxide and titanium tetrachloride as well as starting materials (KOH/BaTi mol ratios: 20, Ba/Ti molar ratio: 1.0). In the process, BaTiO3 powders was obtained at the pH solution was higher than 13 and the reaction temperature was 1050C for two hours. The X-ray diffraction data indicated that formation BaTiO3 powders was one step reaction. The dielectric constant of BaTiO3 was 1047. SEM analysis was found agglomeration in synthesized powders and the average particle size was 10 μm.
