Pengujian Sifat Fisiko kimia, Kinerja dan Pengaruh Pada Mesin Tcrhadap Biodiesel Dari Minyak Biji Bintangur (Callophylum inophylum)
Abstract
Biodiesel is a promising alternative diesel fuel obtained from vegetables oils, animal .fats, or waste oils by transesterifying the oil or fat with an alcohol such as methanol that able t0 be used directly or mixed with diesel oil. Aim of this research was to know properties and performance biodiesel from bintangur (alexandrian laurel) seed oil. Biodiesel was tested properties according to SNI (J4•7182-2006. Test of performance and e.ffect of biodiesel to machine used generator Kubota with technique data: 4 step type, sum of cylinder 1, displacement 443 cm, compression 20: 1 injection pressure 230 kg/cm2, nominal energy 7.5 pK, The lest indicated thol properties of biodiesel of Alexandrian laurel seeds oil meet the standard in term of flash point, water and sediment, cooper strip corrosion, sulfur conlent, phosporus content, celone Humber, total glycerol coment, boiling viscosities, cloud poinl, residue carbon and (Ish sulfated (meet SNI 04.7182•2006). The performance test indicated that the consumption of biodiesel-solar mixture from 0% to 30% biodiesel (Iiter/hour) are not diffrent but the consumption level increased when the Biodiesel consentration more than 30%. This increased was due to the imperfect combustion, this indicated by the deposit in the cylinder head and piston.
