      Abstract
      Palm oil is one of the popular industrial product in the world today. With the growing number of new land-clearing case, was also attended by various production constraints such as diseases and pests that attack that caused the failure of production to the death of oil palm itself. Ganoderma is one of the pathogens that attack the disease of oil palm. It is well known proteins such as chitinase, glucanase, and stilbene synthetase are proteins that can inhibit the growth of Ganoderma. This study aims to construct a specific promoter (PSA) on the roots of oil palm to be able to express all three proteins earlier. Verification PSA oil palm has been tested using promoter prediction software and showed positive results
       
      Kelapa sawit (Elaeis) adalah tumbuhan industri penting penghasil minyak masak, minyak industri, maupun bahan bakar (biodiesel). Perkebunan kelapa sawit menghasilkan keuntungan yang sangat besar sehingga banyak hutan dan perkebunan lama dikonversi menjadi perkebunan kelapa sawit. Di Indonesia penyebarannya di daerah Aceh, pantai timur Sumatra, Jawa, dan Sulawesi. Berdasarkan data tahun 2006, Indonesia telah menjadi negara penghasil CPO (crude palm oil) terbesar di dunia dengan total produksi sekitar 16 juta ton. Sementara negara tetangga kita Malaysia yang selama ini berada pada posisi no.1, saat ini berada pada posisi ke-2 dengan total produksi sebesar 15.8 juta ton. Boleh dibilang, industri kelapa sawit ini dapat diharapkan menjadi motor pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.
