Antropometri petani wanita dan aplikasinya pada desain gagang sabit
Abstract
Empirical data base of anthropometric of Indonesian farmer is very limited presently; though farmer is the main employment which covers about 45% of Indonesian labour force. This research was conducting in aim to develop anthropometric data base of farmer especially for female farmer at District of Dramaga, West Java. The anthropometric data base is important for designing tools, machine, and other equipment in order to be used in more affective, safely, and comfortable manner. Based on the anthropometric data, design of a sickle handle was then studied. This research was conducted in June to October 2010, located at District Dramaga, Bogor. The subjects are female farmers, 20-45 years old, citizen of District Dramaga, Bogor. The number of subjects was estimated according to ISO 15535:2003. General requirements for establishing anthropometric data bases for a 95% confidence interval, and for the 5th, 50th, and 95th percentiles. According to the calculation of sample size, 60 subjects was measured and 41 anthropometric parameters, for each subject were collected then the mean, standard of deviation, 5th percentile, 50th percentile, 95th percentile, and coefficient of correlation for each parameters was analyzed. The result of motion analysis shows that there are 10 anthropometric parameters directly related to the sickle handle design; that are waist heigh with a value 80.20 cm (5th percentile) and 92.50 cm (95th percentile), a shoulder height of 117.50 cm (5th percentile) and 130.40 cm (95th percentile), body height 149 cm (5th percentile) and 156.90 (95th percentile), arm length 57.20 cm (5th percentile) and 64.80 cm (percentile -95), upper arm length 27.20 cm (5th percentile) and 34.70 cm (95th percentile), length of palm 9.60 cm (5th percentile) and 13:40 cm (95th percentile), shoulder width 41.40 cm (5th percentile) and 49.20 cm (95th percentile), the width of the palm of the hand (four fingers) 8:20 cm (5th percentile) and 8.80 cm (95th percentile), 9:30 cm diameter hand grip (percentile 5) and 9.60 cm (95th percentile), and hand grip circumference 13.74 cm (5th percentile) and 15:07 cm (95th percentile). Based on the anthropometric data, the optimal design analysis has been carried out the recommended sickle handle suitable for use in the research area is the long handle of the sickle is 30.71 cm (95th percentile), the diameter of the grip handle of the sickle is 3:38 cm (percentile 5) to the end nearest the handle of eye crescent, 3:49 cm (percentile 50) to handle the sickle the middle, and 3.60 cm (95th percentile) for the sickle handle furthest from the eye crescent.
