Karakterisasi standar mikroskopis bahan pakan sumber protein (tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai dan tepung daging dan tulang) sebagai metode alternatif pengujian kualiatas bahan pakan
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to get standard of physical characteristics of fish meal, soybean meal and meat bone meal (MBM) under the microscope. Feed ingredients were screened with mesh no. 16 (1.180 mm), 30 (0.600 mm) and 50 (0.300 mm) to fractionated its according to particle sizc and cleared by using chloral hydrate solution and the products were observed under compound microscope with 4 X 10 magnification. The parameters observed were physical characteristics of feedstuffs component (colour, size, shape, transparency and surface texture); and the nutrient of component that were used to conclude quality of feedstuffs. The results showed that physical characteristic standard of fish meal consist of meat fish, bone, and scale; soybean meal consist of soybean particle (cotyledon) and hull; and MBM consist of meat, bone, and hair.
