This experiment was aimed to evaluate energy utilization of legume (Gliricidia sepium and Leucaena Leucocephala) mixed with concentrate and grass (Brachiaria humidicola) in male local sheep at UP3 Jonggol. This experiment was conducted according to completely randomized block design with five treatments and four replications which body weight as a block. The treatments were : R1 (90% Brachiaria humidicola + 10% concentrate), R2 (80% Brachiaria humidicola + 10% legume + 10% concentrate ), R3 (70% Brachiaria humidicola + 20% legume + 10% concentrate), R4 (60% Brachiaria humidicola + 30% legume + 10% concentrate), and R5 (70% Brachiaria humdicola + 30% legume). Rasio Gliricidia sepium and Leucaena Leucocephala in legume was 75% : 25%. Variables measured were dry matter and nutrient intake (crude protein, fat and fiber) and also energy utilization (intake, digestibility and metabolizable energy). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and mean of treatment were further analyzed using Duncan test. The experiment showed that treatments affected (P<0.05) to the crude protein consumption. However, there were no effect of energy utilization in all treatments. It is concluded that the addition of 30% legume could increase crude protein intake but not for energy budget.
