Pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih Ikan Gurame yang diberi protein rekombinan GH melalui perendaman dengan dosis berbeda
Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the dose of rGH giant gouramy (r- OgGH) given through immersion that generate the highest growth of gouramy juvenile. The dose of rGH used was 10 mg / l, 20 mg / l, and 30 mg / l and without administration of rGH as a control. Fifty fries of 2 days after the yolk egg absorbtion were immersed into 200 ml of rGH solution for 60 min. Immersion was performed 3 times and applied once a week. The fish were reared in aquaria at stocking densities of 7 fish/l for 5 weeks and fed on Artemia nauplii and blood worm 2 times a day ad libitum. The results showed that the average body weight of 30 mg/l (0.3394 g) and 20 mg/l (0.3179 g) rGH-treated fish were higher (P<0.05) compared to that of 10 mg/l (0.2423 g) and control (0.1939 g). There was no body weight differences (P>0.05) between the fish treated with 20 mg/l and 30 mg/l of rGH, and between the fish treated with 10 mg/l rGH and control. Furthermore, the growth rate of rGH-treated fish was higher (P<0.05) compared with control. Survival of fry treated with rGH 30 mg/l (100%) was higher than the control and other treatments. Thus, immersion of fry in 30 mg/l rGH solution can be applied to enhance the growth of giant gouramy with a high survival rate.
