Pengaruh substitusi jagung dengan sorgum dan menir sebagai sumber pati terhadap kualitas fisik pelet pakan broiler finisher
Abstract
The objectiv es of this research was to evaluate different starch source in broiler ration on the physical pellet quality in continous process. This research was designed by a Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and three replicates. The treatments were P1: ration with 45% corn, P2 : ration with 35% corn + 10% shorgum, P3 : ration with 35% corn + 10% broken rice. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and significance results were analyzed by orthogonal contrast test. The parameters observed : moisture conte nt, particle size, pellet durability, and shatter test. The result showed that different starch source did not influence the particle size showed variation 6.50 mm to 6.69 mm, pellet durability showed variation 84.73% to 89.38%, shatter test showed variation 95.33% to 97.67%, but the treatments gave a very significant effect (p<0.01) on moisture content with variation 9.93% to 12.26%.
