Water resource management is efforts for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating water resource utilization and conservation, and controlling of water destructive potency. Therefore, management not only benefit in short time, but also it must be sustainable. Arranging water resource management plan requires an accurate and complete data/information, which copes with water resource management area; in this case the boundary is catchment area or Small Island not the administration boundary. Data/information on water resource is currently distributed in several departments, research institutions, universities, and Non Government Organizations (NCO), with the consequence of long time and efforts to get and retrieve the data. Besides that, some problems often arise; limited digital data availability and if any, they are in different formats, suboptimal utilization of information technology and low appreciation for data provider. The regulation on water resource (UU 7/zooq) as explicitly mention about water resource information system in a particular chapter. This means that information system is highly required for decision maker in water resource management. Based on the problems on data/information and boundary of water resource management, information system with complete, accurate and easy to access is required. This paper discusses the Citanduy watershed information system, a watershed information system arranged base on tabular and spatial data, which is currently developed at the Research Centre for Limnology, the Indonesian Institute of sciences.
