Optimisasi Produksi Karet Olahan di Pabrik Pengolahan Karet Mira Mare PT Perkebunan XIII (Persero), Garut

Abstract

Mira Mare Estate, Garut is one of the rubber corporation in Indonesia which has processing plant for producing processed rubber, i.e. Ribbed Smoke Sheet (RSS) and Brown Crepe (BC). The objectives of this research are to identify raw materials and production factors of RSS and BC, to optimize production level of each product, and to make some estimation of future raw material supply in the corporation and its products' prices. The main production factors of RSS are availability of latex as well as lump, energy supply, machinery and labor. Optimization of production level was carried out by using linear programing model with objective function of maximizing profit. The result of 4.171 ton RSS/day and 6.230 ton/day (BC) with total profit is Rp 6,925,579/day is considered to be better than the profit obtained by the corporation at present. Future supply of raw materials and its products' prices were estimated by forecasting model called Triple Exponential Smoothing Method (trend and seasonal). A sensitivity analysis based on the result of forecasting model was carried out to investigate the impact of changes to the optimum production level.
