Schedorhinotemmesjm~aniczrKs emner is one of the economicaly important termite species in Indonesia aRer Copfatermes czdwignathus Holmgren. Instead of temiticides application, in the last eight years development of termite bait has been increasing. A field study was conducted to evaluate the eflicacy of hexaflumuron, a chitin syntesis inhibitor, as bait toxicant againt S. jma~ziczas. Population size and foraging activities of the temites were detemined using triple mark recapture technique. Baiting technique applied using bait tube containing hexaflumuron 0,5 % was effective to eliminate the colony of 5'. javanicus Kernner. Subterranean termites S. javanicus colonies up to amount ranging from 43 1,560 - 509,130 individuals were eliminated after 159 days of baiting period. The total bait consumed was 639.27 gram bait rnatrixs or equivalent to 3.25 gram of hexaflumuron.
