The Utilization of The Cocoa and Coffee Skin in The Cocoa and Coffee Plantation in PT. Perkebunan XXVI

Abstract

The cocoa and plants was cultivated in the PTP – XXVI (a state is owned company) Jember besides rubber, coconut, clove and, cot ton. The mature cocoa and coffee rzroduced beans with a large quantity of skins. The quantities of cocoa and coffee skins depending of the total production will be reached or the rzroduction target each Plant every year. The target production of cocoa and coffee on 1991 was 4.090.000 kgs for cocoa and 6.735.000 kgs for coffee could produce 98.160.000 kgs of cocoa skins and 16.837.500 of coffee skins. The cocoa and coffee skins was used on cocoa and coffee plantation with a director in direct application on soil. The effects of cocoa and coffee skin utilization as an organic matter or another application is necessary to make a trial in order to get the better and exactly results.
