Telaah Etnobotani Croton Tiglium L. sebagai Obat Tradisional dan Prospek Pengembangannya di Bengkulu

Abstract

A traditional effort developed in an area, usually done from generation to generation and it was claimed by people living in that area during long time. One of the examples of that effort is traditional medicine treatment. From the results done in South Bengkufu revealed that Crotott tigliur~z L. in Serawai area is called "capau malikian" has merit as laxativve, puffing stomach, fever and as mosquito repellent. This plant is wildly growing in the field or in people gardens in a very rare population. The chance to develope this plant is still open due to the resources, human resources, and the potential as croton oil production for pharmaceutical industry are available.
