dc.description.abstractPink ginger (Alpinia Purpurata) flower had a good prospect as cut flower .. Pink ginger quality as cut flower was a determine factor in the marketing process. Holding solution as lasting potion for the flower in a vas was one of the post harvest treatment in order to maintain the freshness and the quality of the cut flowers. Holding solution as lasting potion basically contain of three components, which were carbohydrate (sugar) as nutrition source, tamarind and material that able to prohibit microorganism expansion (germicide). The objective of this research was to obtain holding solution that extended vase life of the pink ginger cut flower (Alpinia purpurata).id
