      Organ Dalam dan Saluran Pencernaan Ayam Broiler dan Ayam IPB-D1 dengan Penambahan Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) dalam Ransum

      Abstract
      Carboxymethyl cellulose banyak digunakan sebagai binder pada pakan ayam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) dalam ransum terhadap organ dalam dan saluran pencernaan ayam broiler dan ayam IPB-D1. Penelitian ini menggunakan 100 ekor ayam broiler dan 100 ekor ayam IPB-D1 dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 2 perlakuan dengan 2 kelompok, perlakuan terdiri dari P0: Pakan pellet kontrol dan P1: Pakan pellet dengan penambahan 0,5% Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) dan kelompok terdiri dari ayam broiler dan ayam IPB-D1. Peubah yang diamati dari penelitian ini adalah persentase bobot organ vital dan organ imunitas serta persentase bobot dan panjang relatif saluran pencernaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan penambahan 0,5% CMC berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan persentase bobot hati dan meningkatkan persentase bobot proventrikulus dan ileum serta tidak memengaruhi organ dalam dan saluran pencernaan lainnya. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan CMC dosis 0,5% aman digunakan sebagai pellet binder karena tidak mengganggu organ dalam dan saluran pencernaan ayam.
       
      Carboxymethyl cellulose is widely used as a binder in chicken feed. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the use of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) in rations on internal organs and digestive tracts of broiler chickens and IPB-D1 chickens. This study used 100 broiler chickens and 100 IPB-D1 chickens with a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 treatments with 2 groups, the treatment consisted of P0: Control pellet feed and P1: Pellet feed with the addition of 0.5% Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and the group consisted of broiler chickens and IPB-D1 chickens. The variables observed from this study were the percentage of vital organ weight and immune organ weight and the percentage of relative digestive tract weight. The results showed that the treatment of adding 0.5% CMC had a significant effect (P <0.05) on reducing the percentage of liver weight and increasing the percentage of proventriculus and ileum weight and did not affect other internal organs and digestive tract. The conclusion of this study is that the addition of 0.5% CMC is safe to use as a pellet binder because it does not interfere with the internal organs and digestive tract of chickens.
