      Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic may affects the food and beverage consumption patterns of adults, that could change in body weight. This study aims to compare the food and beverage consumption of adults who experienced weight gain and weight loss during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design employs a quantitative approach focusing on secondary data analysis. Data were analyzed using SPSS, with a total of 1136 respondents aged 25-54 years living on the island of Java. Chi-square tests were used to compare the food and beverage consumption of the subjects. The study shows significant results indicating that adults who experienced weight gain during the Covid-19 pandemic had higher consumption of staple foods (31.3%), side dishes (26.8%), and high-calorie beverages (61.3%). Conversely, weight loss occurred among adults with limited access to nutritious food, often due to economic factors. Education level and income also had a significant impact, with higher-income and higher-educated groups tending to consume more calories and experience weight gain.
