      Pengaruh Bentuk Pakan Konsentrat terhadap Fermentabilitas Rumen dan Kecernaan Nutrien Kambing Senduro

      Abstract
      Analisis kondisi rumen penting dilakukan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada peternak dalam rangka mengoptimalkan kesehatan ternak, meningkatkan produktivitas, dan mengurangi biaya operasional. Rumen mulai berkembang ketika anak domba diperkenalkan dengan pakan padat, hal tersebut penting untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan kesehatan ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fermentabilitas rumen dan kecernaan nutrien kambing Senduro pada fase lepas sapih dan fase pertumbuhan yang diberi konsentrat starter berbentuk mash dan pellet. Pengukuran fermentabilitas rumen dikelompokkan berdasarkan bentuk konsentrat. Variabel yang diamati dalam fermentabilitas rumen meliputi tingkat pH, kadar NH3, kadar VFA, dan populasi protozoa. Penelitian kecernaan nutrien menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial 2x2 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah bentuk konsentrat dan faktor kedua adalah umur kambing Senduro. Umur kambing dan bentuk konsentrat dijadikan sebagai kelompok. Variabel kecernaan nutrien meliputi konsumsi nutrien dan kecernaan nutrien. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians (ANOVA). Pemberian konsentrat starter memberikan pengaruh yang normal terhadap fermentabilitas rumen meskipun nilai pH rendah. Berdasarkan bobot badan metabolik, bentuk konsentrat dan umur kambing tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan nutrien. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara umur kambing dan bentuk konsentrat (P>0,05). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian konsentratstarter berbentuk mash dan pelletmemiliki efek yang sama terhadap variabel fermentabilitas rumen dan kecernaan nutrien pada kambing Senduro umur 3 bulan dan 5 bulan.       Analyzing rumen condition is important to provide insights to farmers in order to optimize livestock health, enhance productivity, and reduce operational costs. The rumen starts developing when lambs are introduced to solid feed, which is crucial for supporting the growth and health of the livestock. This study aimed to analyze rumen fermentability and nutrient digestibility of Senduro goats during the post-weaning and growth phases given starter concentrate in the form of mash and pellets. Rumen fermentability measurements were grouped based on concentrate form. Observed variables in rumen fermentability included pH levels, NH3 concentration, VFA concentration, and protozoa populations. The nutrient digestibility study used a 2x2 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The first factor was the form of concentrate, and the second factor was the age of Senduro goats. Goat age and concentrate form were used as groups. Nutrient digestibility variables included nutrient consumption and nutrient digestibility. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The provision of starter concentrate had a normal effect on rumen fermentability even though the pH value was low. Based on metabolic body weight, the form of concentrate and the age of the Senduro goats had no significant effect (P>0,05) on nutrient intake and digestibility. The results of the analysis showed that there was no interaction between the age of the goat and the form of concentrate (P>0,05). The conclusion of this study was that providing starter concentrate in mash and pellet forms has the same effect on rumen fermentability and nutrient digestibility variables in Senduro goats aged 3 and 5 months.
