      Abstract

Ornamental fish farming is a fisheries industry sector that has the potential to be more developed. The potential for freshwater ornamental fish in Bogor Regency is very large because it is one of the production center areas. Bogorian Aquatics Farm is one of the ornamental fish farming companies that has the potential to develop in Bogor. Companies want to know the optimal production combination, so that the company's goal of maximizing profits can be achieved. This study aims to analyze the optimization of production and freshwater ornamental fish business at Bogorian Aquatics Farm. Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews using the case study method. Data analysis used linear programming and business analysis calculations. The results showed that the use of production inputs in the company was not optimal because there was still a slack or surplus value in the constraint factor and a difference was obtained between the combination of actual and optimal production. Comparison of business analysis in actual and optimal conditions obtained higher profits in optimal conditions with an increase in profits in one year of production of 18,08% from actual conditions.
