      Studi Pustaka Suplementasi Magnesium pada Pakan untuk Pertumbuhan Ikan Nila Oreochromis sp.

      Abstract
      Mineral merupakan suatu elemen anorganik yang diperlukan hewan untuk mempertahankan berbagai fungsi metabolik. Mineral berperan penting pada fungsi enzim termasuk di dalamnya berperan dalam sistem pencernaan, keseimbangan asam basa, pertukaran gas, dan osmoregulasi. Mg beserta ikatannya banyak terlibat dalam berbagai peran berbeda dalam alur metabolisme protein, lemak, karbohidrat, dan reaksi enzimatis. Studi pustaka ini bertujuan memvalidasi dan menganalisis dosis magnesium terbaik yang ditambahkan pada pakan untuk performa pertumbuhan ikan nila Oreochromis sp., berdasarkan laporan hasil-hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan. Sumber pustaka didapatkan dari pustaka nasional dan internasional. Hasil studi pustaka ini menunjukkan suplementasi Mg memberikan dampak positif pada pertumbuhan ikan nila. Kebutuhan Mg pada pakan ikan nila (Oreochromis sp.) dipengaruhi oleh spesies dan ukuran ikan, sumber, serta kandungan mineral pada pakan dan kondisi lingkungan budidaya. Dosis optimum suplementasi Mg pada ikan nila Oreochromis sp. adalah 0,62 g kg-1 berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi kuadratik orde-2 yang berada di rentang 0,5-1,02 g kg-1.
       
      Minerals are inorganic elements that animals need to maintain various metabolic functions. Minerals plan an important role in enzyme function, including their role in digestion system, acid-base balance, gas exchange, and osmoregulation. Mg and its mixtures are involved in many different roles in the metabolic pathways of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and enzymatic reactions. This literature study aims to validate and analyze the best dose of magnesium added to feed for the growth performance of tilapia Oreochromis sp., based on reports of research results that have been carried out. Literature sources were obtained from national and international literatures. The result of this literature study show that Mg supplementation has a positive impact on the growth of tilapia. Mg requirements of tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) is influenced by species and size of the fish, source, and content of the mineral in feed and culture environment. The optimum dose of Mg supplementation for tilapia Oreochromis sp. are 0.62 g kg-1 based on 2nd order quadratic regression analysis which is in the range of 0.5-1.02 g kg-1.
