      Studi Kinerja Pengabut Semprot (Spray Fogging) Menggunakan Kombinasi Mesin Fogging, Sprayer Elektrik, dan Air Blower

      Abstract
      Salah satu upaya pengendalian hama pada tanaman kelapa sawit dapat dilakukan dengan mengaplikasikan kabut pestisida. Pengabutan pestisida dilakukan dengan menggabungkan asap dari mesin fogging dan droplet dari sprayer elektrik dengan air blower. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan dan menganalisis parameter kinerja pengabut semprot (spray fogging) untuk pengaplikasian kabut pestisida. Kinerja penyemprotan air blower dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara mengatur jenis kipas dan tipe nosel air blower. Pengaturan jenis kipas pada air blower adalah kipas aksial dan sentrifugal yang dikombinasikan dengan tipe nosel kerucut 4, 6, dan 8 lubang. Hasil kombinasi perlakuan uji kinerja yang paling optimum adalah kombinasi air blower kipas aksial dan nosel kerucut 4 lubang. Kinerja pengabut semprot (spray fogging) dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara mengatur sudut semprot kombinasi antara mesin fogging dan air blower pada jarak pengamatan. Pengaturan sudut semprot kombinasi adalah sudut 15°, 30°, dan 45° serta jarak pengamatan 1 meter hingga 4 meter. Hasil analisis dan penentuan parameter kinerja pengabut semprot (spray fogging) menghasilkan sudut 45° sebagai sudut semprot yang paling optimum dari jarak pengamatan 1 meter hingga 4 meter. Hal ini ditandai dengan nilai rata-rata diameter droplet 78,74 μm, kerapatan droplet 70 droplet/cm2, kecepatan aliran udara 1,97 m⁄s, dan suhu pengabutan 31,8℃.
       
      One of the efforts to control pests in oil palm plants can be done by applying insecticide fog. Insecticide fogging is done by combining smoke from a fogging machine and droplets from an electric sprayer with an air blower. This study aims to determine and analyze the performance parameters of spray fogging for the application of insecticide mist. The spraying performance of the air blower can be improved by adjusting the fan type and nozzle type of the air blower. The fan type settings on the air blower are axial and centrifugal fans combined with cone nozzle types of 4, 6, and 8 holes. The result of the combination of the most optimum performance test treatment is the combination of axial air blower fan with 4 hole cone nozzle. Spray fogging performance can be improved by adjusting the combination of spray angle between the fogging machine and air blower at the observation distance.The combination spray angles are angles of 15, 30, and 45 with observation distance of 1 meter to 4 meters. The results of the analysis and determination of the performance parameters of the spray fogging resulted in angle of 45° as the most optimum spray angle from an observation distance of 1 meter to 4 meters. This is characterized by an average value of droplet diameter of 78.74 μm, droplet density of 70 droplets/cm2, air flow rate of 1.97 m⁄s, and fogging temperature of 31.8℃
