Preferensi Pangan Anak Sekolah Dasar Di Kota Bogor
Abstract
Food preference has an important role in defining children’s food pattern. Food preference that is formed earlier will persist to influence food preference in adult. In the other words, children’s food preference is a critical point in defining adult’s food preference. Thus, study about children’s food preference and many factors that were related is important to do. The general objective of this study was to identified factors that is correlate to food preference of school children in bogor city, and the specific objectivess were to: 1). Identified individual characteristic of subject, 2). Identified Family’s socio economics condition of subject, 3). Identified school children’s food preference, and 4). Analyze correlation between food preference and many factors. This study used cross-sectional design and the subject was 90 students from 3 elementary school in Bogor City. The correlation between factors and food preferences analized use inferensia statistics which are: Chi Square and Rank Spearman. Food preference of school children shows that school children tend to like certain kind of food in each food groups. There are several kinds of food in each foods group which is less like by school children. Fruits are liked by most school children. Most of school children like a kind of food because of the organoleptic characteristic of food, especially taste. Individual characteristics and family’s socio economic conditions explained little of the variation in school children’s food preference. The statistic test shows that preference of certain food has correlation with individual and family’s socio economic conditions. School children’s food preference doesn’t not show variety yet. Interventions are needed to direct school children’s food preference become more various.
