Performa Ayam Broiler Periode Starter dengan Pemberian Metionin Cair dalam Air Minum
Abstract
The objective of this research was to observe the effects of liquid methionine addition (0%; 0.05% and 0.10%) on broiler performance. Three thousand and six hundred DOC (day old chick) strain Cobb were used randomized block design with 3 treatments and 3 blocks. The variables were water consumption, feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and differences among treatments were tested by contrast orthogonal when there was a significant effect of treatment on variables measured. The result showed that liquid methionine did not effect on water consumption, feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of broiler starter period. It was concluded that liquid methionine addition in the drinking water did not affect the amino acid balance in the ration of broiler starter used in this research.
