      Abstract

Jasmine leaves have been known to possess anti-breast cancer activity by inhibiting the growth of MCF-7 cancer cells. This cancer cell expressed the important estrogen receptor α in breast cancer. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the active compounds in jasmine leaves that exhibit anticancer activity in breast cancer, particularly against the estrogen receptor α by in-silico approach. The results indicate the presence of potential compounds as estrogen receptor α antagonists in jasmine leaves, which can modulate several genes capable of regulating cell survival. The modulated genes however do not specifically target only breast cancer cells with positive estrogen receptor α.
