The reason of this food preference is food factor (taste, nutrition content, food processing). Local food potential in order to reach food diversification consider to food preference and production. It also an alternative way to fulfill carbohidrat, animal and plant based protein, vitamin and mineral needs. Output of Chi square dan Spearman analysis show that almost food don’t have correlation (p>0.05) with individual and environmental characteristic. Potensial local food based on food preference and production as alternative food for food diversification i.e. corn, cassava, sweet potato, taro (carbohydrate sources): fish, mung bean, tempe, tofu (protein sources); and green leaf vegetables, cow peas, banana and guava (vitamins and minerals sources). Production data shows that corn, fish, mung bean, and soybean production need to be increased its production or import from the other region, especially in West Java.
