This study aimed to evaluate the growth performance of common carp
(Cyprinus carpio) using black soldier fly (BSF) larva flour in feed. The study was
conducted using a completely randomized design with four different treatments of
BSF flour doses in the feed. The treatments consisted of a control group (no addition
of BSF flour), 5% BSF (BSF flour added at 5% of the total feed), 10% BSF (BSF
flour added at 10% of the total feed), and 15% BSF (BSF flour added at 15% of the
total feed). The study was conducted for 60 days using aquariums measuring
90x50x50 cm with a stocking density of 15 fish per container, and the fish were fed
three times a day. The water quality parameters during the study were optimal for
fish growth. The final weight and specific growth rate (SGR) values for the 5% BSF
treatment were not significantly different from the control group, while the feed
conversion ratio (FCR) and survival rate (SR) showed significant differences
(p<0.05). The survival rate of the fish was 97.78, which was the same as the control
group. The addition of 5% BSF flour in the feed improved the growth performance
of common carp.
