      Abstract
      Kualitas Bioflok dan Pertumbuhan Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) pada Sistem Bioflok dengan Sumber Karbon Tepung Bambu. Dibimbing oleh JULIE EKASARI dan MIA SETIAWATI. Prinsip sistem bioflok adalah menumbuhkan mikroorganisme terutama bakteri heterotrof dalam media pemeliharaan untuk mengkonversi limbah nitrogen menjadi biomassa mikroba yang selanjutnya dapat dikonsumsi oleh ikan atau udang. Penggunaan sumber karbon tepung bambu yang memiliki potensi sebagai prebiotik dapat digunakan pada sistem bioflok. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan sumber karbon tepung bambu dalam sistem bioflok terhadap kualitas bioflok dan pertumbuhan udang vaname. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat perlakuan sumber karbon yang berbeda, yaitu dekstrosa (Deks), selulosa (Sel), tepung bambu (TB) dan kontrol (tanpa penambahan sumber karbon) dengan empat kali ulangan. Udang dengan bobot awal 6,31 ± 0,01 g ditebar dalam bak fiber berukuran 50x50x100 cm dengan ketinggian air 75 cm dengan kepadatan 20 ekor/bak (106 ekor/m3 ) dan dipelihara selama 60 hari. Udang diberi pakan dengan metode restricted dengan menentukan feeding rate sesuai dengan bobot udang pada saat sampling. Konsentrasi total amonia nitrogen (TAN) pada perlakuan tepung bambu pada enam minggu pertama pemeliharaan secara umum terlihat lebih tinggi daripada perlakuan lain sedangkan konsentrasi nitrit terlihat memiliki trend yang sama untuk semua perlakuan. Volume dan ukuran partikel bioflok pada perlakuan tepung bambu cukup tinggi daripada perlakuan dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penambahan sumber karbon tepung bambu menghasilkan biomassa akhir, tingkat kelangsungan hidup (TKH), dan rasio konversi pakan udang (RKP) yang cukup dibandingkan selulosa dan kontrol.       Biofloc Quality and Growth of Vaname Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) With Bamboo Flour Carbon Source in Biofloc System. Guided by JULIE EKASARI and MIA SETIAWATI. The principle of biofloc system is to grow microorganisms, especially heterotrophic bacteria in the maintenance medium to convert nitrogen waste into microbial biomass which can that to be consumed by fish or shrimp. The use of bamboo flour carbon source that has the potential as a prebiotic can be used in biofloc systems. Bamboo flour has good potential for biofloc systems. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the addition of carbon sources of bamboo flour in the biofloc system on biofloc quality and growth of vaname shrimp. This study used four different carbon source treatments, namely dextrose (Deks), cellulose (Sel), bamboo flour (TB) and control (without the addition of carbon sources) with four replications. Shrimp with an initial weight of 6.31 ± 0.01 g were stocked in a 50x50x100 cm fiber tub with a water level of 75 cm with a density of 20 heads/tub (106 heads/m3 ) and maintained for 60 days. Shrimp were fed with restricted method by determining the feeding rate in accordance with the weight of shrimp at the time of sampling. The total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) concentration in bamboo flour treatment in the first six weeks of maintenance was generally higher than other treatments while the nitrite concentration was seen to have the same trend for all treatments. The Volume and particle size of biofloc in bamboo flour treatment is quite high than the treatment and control. The results of this study showed that the addition of carbon sources of bamboo flour resulted in the final biomass, survival rate (tkh), and shrimp feed conversion ratio (RKP) were sufficient compared to cellulose and controls.
